Terms of service

Last updated 25 September 2026

These terms cover the service Astracore provides. Astracore is a sole proprietorship operated by Jeffrey Bowen in Vancouver, British Columbia. Plain language, because you should be able to read them.

What we do

We build an AI assistant that answers your phone, takes the caller's details, and books appointments into your calendar. We configure it around your prices, hours and service area, connect it to the tools we agree on before work starts, and run and maintain it for you. You do not administer it.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee a number of bookings, an amount of revenue, or a return on what you spend. Anyone who does is guessing. The assistant depends on telephone networks and third-party services that occasionally fail, so we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We fix faults as quickly as we can and we tell you when something has gone wrong.

The assistant will not quote a price we have not been given, and will take a message rather than invent an answer. It is not a person and it does not exercise judgement. Anything requiring judgement reaches you.

What we need from you

You are responsible for what the assistant is instructed to say on your behalf, because it says what you tell us to make it say.

Money

Setup is charged once, before work begins. The monthly fee is charged in advance and covers the allowance stated in your plan. Usage beyond that allowance is charged at the rate stated in your plan. Prices are in US dollars unless we agreed otherwise in writing.

Cancelling

Month to month, cancel any time. Tell us and we stop at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months and we do not charge a cancellation fee. Annual arrangements run to the end of the term.

If you cancel we return what is yours: your call records, your transcripts and your contact data, in a readable format, and then we delete our copies.

What we will not take on

We do not build for healthcare, legal or financial services, where regulation makes an automated first responder inappropriate. We do not build outbound calling systems. We will decline anything intended to mislead the person on the other end of the line.

Your information

Covered in the privacy policy. In short: we keep little, we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted.

If something goes wrong

Our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the problem. We are not liable for lost business, lost profit, or consequences flowing from a missed or mishandled call. That is a real limit and you should weigh it: an automated assistant is an improvement on voicemail, not a guarantee that nothing is missed.
